Description du produit

?If you appreciated Johnny Depp's performance as the Mad Hatter in Tim Burton's 'Alice in Wonderland' movie, then you should jump at the chance to dress in this wonderfully colourful costume! It features the iconic Hatter's top-hat with wide brim, pink ribbon and attached trademark price-tag with attached ginger hair wig, super striped brown and white trousers, a long brown jacket with white ruffled collar detailing and attached blue waistcoat and an outstanding oversized bowtie. You'll need some white face paint to comply with Johnny Depp's version of this classic children's character, whilst for added dramatic detail, you might want to invest in a set of coloured effect contact lenses to perfect the surreal kaleidoscopic stare of the magnificent Mad Hatter. In Lewis Carroll's 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' and 'Through the Looking-Glass' the Hatter is never actually referred to as 'The Mad Hatter', although the Cheshire Cat definitely describes him as 'mad' and of course, his wild and unpredictable at the perpetual tea party he holds with his accomplice The March Hare definitely supports the theory that he is one proverbial sandwich short of a picnic! Lewis Carroll actually based the outrageous antics of the Hatter on a real figure: a quirky furniture dealer called Theophilus Carter, who presented an alarm clock bed which tipped occupants out on the floor at the prescribed time at the Great Exhibition, and also later habitually wore a top hat as he stood at the door of his furniture shop in Oxford! If you are wearing this colourful and creative costume to a fantasy or 'Alice' inspired fancy dress party then it does grant you some license to behave bizarrely, but please refrain from trying to stuff a dormouse in a kettle or annoying fellow guests with unanswerable riddles and personal insults. When you play the Mad Hatter at a fancy dress event, then less is definitely more when it comes to characterisation! If you
